In the region of Germany called North Rhine-Westphalia is an area called the Rhineland Nature Park.
This area was mined extensively for coal and as a result of the coal mining many lakes have been formed. Â It is not as ugly as it might seem due to a rigorous reforestation program implemented since the 1920s.
The Liblarer See is one such lake and is a beautiful spot to visit and camp. Â Dogs are absolutely welcome to camp and swim !
